Farmer Jones

We have a sheep farmer in our ward: Brother Jones. McKay has a little farm play set and he is always calling the farmers "Farmer Jones." Last week, we took a trip out to see Farmer Jones and all his sheep during their big lambing time of the year. McKay sure enjoys farms and animals (from a distance). We're trying to help him understand that dogs and cats aren't scary, but for some reason he is terrified of animals that come close to him. Luckily the sheep had their own little pens.

Children's Museum

We took a little road trip to Salt Lake City a couple weekends ago and had such a good time with each other! I have been wanting to do more activities as a family. My brothers' families are a great example to me of spending quality time with each other, so they are partly my inspiration. I'm not saying we have to leave Cedar City to have good quality time, but it seems like that is the trend with our recent outings.... :) :) :)

McKay was enthralled with this shovel and the water toys

Even Daddy had fun at the museum!

Steering wheels are a big excitement in McKay's life right now. :)

The kids

Nelson just chilling

McKay discovered he loves carrots (and posing for pictures, apparently)

One night we had ice-cream for dessert and we pretty much finished a carton, so I just left it out on the counter. Then I went to nurse the baby and Kimball left for a meeting. So...when I came back out to see what my extremely quiet toddler was doing, I found him scraping out the last few bites. :)

We are teaching Nelson early to be a cougar fan!

He's starting to smile more. He has been a lot of fun lately!

Nelson Blessing

March 18th was Nelson's blessing. We were grateful to have lots of Kimball's family along with my parents and grandma from Seattle.

Nelson is now two months old!! At his check up he weighed 10 lbs. 8 oz. and 23 inches long. He is growing really well and we are happy he is so healthy!

Glimmer of Hope

sorry I can't figure out how to turn these pictures. lame.

Nelson slept 7 hours in a row last night!

That is what I call...a glimmer of hope. Hope that I may start getting some decent sleep. What a glorious night Nelson and I had. :) :) :)

First Sunday at Church

We ventured to church this past Sunday! Nelson will be 6 weeks old tomorrow, so I figured it was time for me to have some spiritual enlightenment again. I don't think Nelson got too much out of it because he slept the whole time, but I thought it was great!

5 weeks old

My brother, Brian, visited us from Provo for President's Day weekend. We had a lot of fun, and McKay loved having uncle Brian stay with us. The morning after he left, McKay woke up and said, "where'd uncle Brian go?"
Wearing daddy's shoes with a cheesy smile
Nelson turned 5 weeks old today! He got a bath to celebrate. Baths totally soothe him. We love him so much! He doesn't cry very much, he is great at cuddling, and he is strong (has already survived a few hits from McKay's balls). Even with the continual reminders to McKay that Nelson is not big enough to play ball, it still seems to be a constant struggle. :(
