Swimming

Before the plunge
McKay: "I don't know about this."

During the swim
McKay: "Why is this so darn cold? Do they think I'm a polar bear?"

Getting dried off
McKay: "That wasn't so bad, but I hope we don't have to come back here for a while."

Tonight we ventured out to the SUU pool. You can't beat the price, and it was indoor, so I thought the water would be perfect for McKay. I was wrong. It was a bit chilly. So even though it was cheap, it turned out to be an expensive family outing considering we spent about 10 minutes in the water. :)

McKay's room

My good, good friend Nanette Amis painted this darling box for McKay. Nanette is from our Salt Lake ward. She and her family have been wonderful friends to me and Kimball. We MISS them and have ever since moving up to Logan and now Cedar City. Isn't her talent just great? I love this box! Thanks, Nanette!

McKay's green room. It was painted green before we moved in, and I don't care to change it. I think it is cute. This picture is mostly for my mom to see McKay's $75 (used but practically new) dresser!!

Some more cute ones

5 month pictures

Let me just say how much fun it was to take McKay in to get his pictures taken. He was loving all the attention! I think that I have a cute boy, but I am pretty biased. :) Enjoy the pictures. I will make another post because all of them didn't fit on here.

By the end, he was pretty tired, as you can see.

Best baby-sitter

Thanks to my mother-in-law and sister-in-law who came and helped me this week, I was able to get a lot of unpacking done around the house. When they aren't here to help, however, my effectiveness goes WAY down with this little guy. So we found our new favorite baby-sitter: the high chair. This was a must-buy this week since he is now eating rice cereal and needing something to help him sit up to watch mommy work.

Saying Goodbye

We moved last week to Cedar, and so far things are great. We enjoy where we live and are slowly unpacking while keeping a 5 month old happy. These pictures were taken with our good friends/cousins Shane and Jennifer Holt's children. We have loved being close to them in Logan. They are moving to Idaho in a few months, but we know we will stay in touch.

He likes beef

Kimball was pretty happy yesterday when he found McKay playing with his toy cow. Kimball said, "Look...he likes beef!" Kimball is also convinced that McKay's slobbering is really an indication of his mouth-watering over the cow. I guess we can't wait to feed him real beef. Ha ha!
